We care about educating students

We are very pleased to take the association Slovak Compliance Circle (SCC), within one of its activities, which is also Work with Young manages to cooperate with the Faculty of Management of The Comenius University in Bratislava (FM UK). SCC works actively with young people and considers it extremely important that they understand the importance of an ethical and compliance program and the consequences of its absence.

Several lectures took place, which, thanks to the cooperation, are covered by Professor Anna Remišová from FM UK and which were prepared by SCC members, as well as our managing partner Martin Jacko. The lecture on the topic - Compliance: Application in Business Companies - took place online on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 for students of the 5th year of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University.

Martin shared his experience from the practical implementation of the principles we promote under the associationSCC and the initiative Rule of Law. He talked about the application of compliance principles in companies but also with special emphasis on law firms, where he drew on rich experience working for several clients. In addition to defining and clarifying the basic concepts, he also addressed the positive and negative starting points and compliance measures that each company can set up to increase the motivation to protect compliance principles in practice. He clarified in-house guidelines and codes of ethics, which define relationships with suppliers, public authorities and other stakeholders. He explained the importance of association in interest groups, which bring together companies that implement and apply compliance measures and together form internal and public policies in the field.

The widest possible involvement of business entities and strict adherence to existing rules is the challenge is for all of us.
