Cooperation between Slovakia and Kazakhstan

On 7th October 2020 in the premises of our law firm in Bratislava held the event with the representatives from Kazakhstan and investors from Slovakia organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Slovakia with the support of the Council of Slovak exporters.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic Roman Vassilenko, representatives of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of state authorities of the Slovak Republic as well as the important Slovak trade representatives from various companies accepted an invitation to an event with goal to explore ways for building and expansion of economic and investment cooperation between Slovakia and Kazakhstan.

Slovakia represents as a friendly country for Kazakhstan with an interest to cooperate. Nowadays, there are more than 40 enterprises operating in Kazakhstan with the participation of Slovak capital, which is a significant indicator of common interest of the business communities of both countries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi explained the advantages of the investment potential in Kazakhstan, the work of the government to protect the rights of foreign investors and opportunities for business development with the support of structures such as Kazakh Invest national company and the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC). Next performers were the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ingrid Brocková, general director of the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) Peter Blaškovitš, chairman of the Council of Slovak exporters Lukáš Parízek and managing partner of our law firm Lansky, Ganzger & Partner (LGP) Martin Jacko who informed participants about on-going establishing of the association Central Europe – Central Asia which aim is to become a platform for networking for entrepreneurs from both regions, helping  them to find business partners, promote cultural initiatives etc.

The participants of the meeting expressed their mutual commitment to cooperate in the fields of engineering industry, building of infrastructure, defense industry, agriculture, pharmaceutical industry as well as in the field of advanced digital technologies and Industry 4.0 implementation. 

We believe that this meeting was of benefit to all parties involved and will help and encourage us to develop cooperation between these countries.
