Change of Chairman of the SCC Advisory Board

JUDr. Martin Jacko stood at the inception of the Slovak Compliance Circle (SCC), an initiative that reflected the current and increased need to adhere to ethical principles in the business sphere. The company Lansky, Ganzger & Partner Rechtsanwälte, spol. s r.o. has participated in the establishment of a unique compliance initiative in Slovakia, which has been progressing since its beginning and is an irreplaceable part in supporting and promoting the principles of compliance and ethical behaviour in a transparent business environment.

Martin Jacko has served as a member of the board of directors at SCC for six years, where he has been largely involved in developing and implementing standards and legal aspects of compliance. He has now taken over a new position – the chairman of an advisory board at SCC with his priority to create a team of relevant advisors and thus provide professional support and advice in the field of law, economics but also in strategic and operational direction of the association and its bodies. Martin Jacko plans to leverage on his expertise in law and comprehensive strategic advice to clients in advocacy, gained extensive experience from his previous work at the board of directors and knowledge of internal processes for the effective functioning of the advisory board.

"I believe that once we will come to the state that the general standards are accepted and adhered to in the society, based on international standards and taking into account the legal and cultural specifics of the Slovak business environment," mentioned Martin Jacko and added: “My goal is to create a body that will, on the one hand, be a solid support for the activities of the association and be able to properly guide its themes and activities, but on the other hand will be a valuable source of new ideas coming from advisory fields. I am convinced that my previous experience in association and compliance will be a good basis for achieving this goal.”
